Join Bay Area California instructors Katerina Polychroniou, creator of XPLOREFIT, and Suzanna Spring, owner of Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness for a 6-day (5 nights) yoga retreat on Isla Mujeres, a beautiful small island off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Mexican Caribbean. Known for beautiful white sand beaches, warm and calm crystal-clear turquoise Caribbean waters, and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the second-longest coral reef system in the world), the island offers world-class snorkeling and some of the loveliest beaches in the world. We'll practice yoga at the outdoor covered yoga pavilion overlooking the ocean, enjoy outdoor adventures, infinite stars, and spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Savor delicious locally-sourced gourmet meals, mostly vegetarian (vegan options available), and twice daily yoga, meditation and pranayama classes: morning Vinyasa and Meditation, evening Yin and Restorative Yoga. There are also kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy at your leisure for exercise or island exploration, as well as direct boat access from the lagoon side for water transport and excursions, private beach and infinity pool.Isla Mujeres and the region are also rich in nature and culture with countless options for adventure and visiting some of the worlds finest beaches, with the famous ¨North Beach¨ rated top 10 beaches in the world by TripAdvisor. Set off on a journey for scuba diving, snorkeling, whale shark tour, bird & monkey sanctuaries, cultural sites, or visiting cenotes or Mayan Ruins, all within reach from island or short day trips.

Katerina Polychroniou
Creator of the XPLOREFIT low impact, high intensity yoga- inspired training, Katerina is a lifelong athlete, former Corepower Lead 200h Yoga Training Facilitator and lululemon Legacy Ambassador. Above all she is a mother, dreamer, doer and xplorefitter, and believes in doing things passionately or not at all. Katerina loves creating meaningful relationships with people, helping them achieve their goals and dreams, and sees the greatness in them. She believes the biggest changes are made by little steps at a time. In her vinyasa classes you’ll develop strength, set goals and feel empowered to meet them. She is also a certified personal trainer, SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) yoga instructor, sports nutritionist, a traveler, and a lover of life.
Suzanna Spring
Owner of Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness in northern California, Suzanna has studied both Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions and holds a teaching certification in Prana Vinyasa yoga from Shiva Rea’s Samudra School, as well as training in Neelakantha Meditation, and teaching certification for Yin yoga. She has also taught military veterans in the Polytrauma Unit of VA-PAHCS and in the Veterans Center at Las Positas College, and believes strongly in the body's innate ability to heal. An instructor at the RYT500 level, and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Suzanna is a Director of Dragonfly's Yoga Teacher Training Programs. She is a skilled meditation instructor, teacher trainer, recording artist, and leads yoga retreats nationally and internationally.
